A triple negative breast cancer diagnosis at age 28 brought me to this work. Struggling for answers at the start of the pandemic, I faced countless barriers to receive the testing and care required to make a diagnosis. While this experience left me feeling powerless, it also inspired me to help improve cancer care for other young adults in the future.

I have been part of the Anew team since 2022 working as a Research Assistant and Facilitator. I now work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with those living with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and those navigating cancer diagnoses and survivorship. With Anew, this looks like helping craft research sessions from a trauma-informed lens and providing in-session and after-session support to our young adult co-researchers.

I create space to recharge through meditation, cycling, spending time in nature on the beautiful and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, and cooking new recipes with my partner. He shops, I chef.
