I am a settler of Dutch and English descent and I am grateful to live on the sacred lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən families and communities and to work as an associate professor at Royal Roads University in health and leadership.

Before being diagnosed with cancer, I worked with young adults and communities affected by armed conflict, violence, and disaster to understand lived experiences and facilitate change. Now, as a Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar, I am humbled and grateful to lead the Anew Research Collaborative.

I find nourishment in the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, sparking change in systems, and adventuring with the little people in my life who give me so much joy.

I previously ran a lot and can wallpaper like a pro...sort of.
