 LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge that Royal Roads University is located on the traditional Lands of the Lekwungen-speaking Peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island and the lasting impacts of colonization on Indigenous people.

As a team we are committed to learning how to be more equitable, representative, and relational in our work together and contribute to reconciliation in action.

YOUNG ADULT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge the diverse, intersectional identities of young adults with cancer at the heart of this work; and we extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the young adults and cancer care allies who contribute to reshaping young adult cancer care.


We also honour and remember the young adults who are no longer physically here. Your presence lives on and inspires us to reshape cancer care for all young adults.

ETHICS STATEMENT

All research activities with the Anew Research Collaborative are guided by our commitment to an ethic of care and are co-developed with the people involved. Our research is approved by the Royal Roads University Research Ethics Board, and where appropriate, relevant health authorities and partner Research Ethics Boards.
